Hello again! Yes, we recognize it’s been quite some time since we updated our blog, and that is inexcusable. But, if we were to give an excuse, it’s just that God has been doing so many incredible things in the French-influenced parts of the world! Last Thursday, July 26th, we graduated our 20 Discipleship Training School students! And just half a week before that all of them arrived back in Paris from South East Asia!
But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, lecture phase was incredible!
For the DTS, we had a smart, cunning, and good-looking team of four staff.
(Ellie, Amber, Carrie, Jono)
Lecture phase in Paris was always an adventure, we had lectures every morning (and some evenings) on hearing God’s voice, missions, Kingdom of God, and the list goes on!
We also had the opportunity to really soak in the French culture through things like cooking in our restaurant, French language classes, and even french history courses.
During lecture phase we had the goal to equip our students to be able to hit it right on target on outreach, giving them the tools to be able to handle the challenges of outreach and also seek out the Lord’s will for SE Asia.
Before our journey began, we split up into two teams for South East Asia.
We first all started in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and then went our separate ways after two weeks of teaching in Battambong, Cambodia. The teams divided and conquered in SE Asia, it was amazing seeing God’s handiwork in the beautiful countries we targeted!
We did lots of prayer walks, english classes, children’s ministry, and of course made a lot of friends!
It’s insane to process that outreach is already over, DTS graduation certificates have been passed out, and most of the students are already on a plane heading home! To look back at everything that has been accomplished because of God’s power and love is overwhelming, but it sure is an exciting adventure being on His team!
Hopefully a six month download wasn’t too much to indulge, but that pretty much just sums it up!
And if you’re interested in coming to Paris to do a DTS, just be marking your calendars for February 2014, we’re taking a breather off of DTS for 2013.
Until next time!
